Simple Tips to Lose Fat and Gain Muscle

Yes, I know that most trainers and/or gym rats would tell you that before you try to build muscle mass you need to lose the excess fat in your body first.

This is definitely true because fat needs to be in low percentages in order for our muscles to become visible. It is also known for a fact that you need to invest a lot of time and effort to do so. Unfortunately, for most of us normal hardworking people, we neither have the time nor the energy to do two-and-a-half hour work outs every day because we have our jobs and our families to attend to. Luckily for us, there are great, time-saving tips to lose fat, gain muscle, and get fit.

The first tip I have to offer that will help you lose fat and gain muscle is a high protein, low fat and low carb diet. Following a high protein, low fat and low carb diet will help you in decreasing your fat intake dramatically. Plus, the lowered carbohydrate consumption will help reduce the chances of excess carbs being converted into fat. Finally, the high protein intake will help your muscles get stronger. Having stronger muscles means it would be easier to build your muscles up because you’d be able to last longer in your workouts and you’ll be able to get more reps in.

I good tip to go along with this high protein, low fat and low carb diet would be a well set up weekly schedule of work outs. Planning and carefully scheduling your workouts across the week will help your body adjust and develop at the same time. These workouts don’t have to be two hours long. All it takes is a one-hour focused work out every other day. The rest days in between the workouts will help your body adjust to the fat loss and it will also help in building your muscles. A well balanced weekly workout schedule will definitely help you in reaching your goal to lose fat and gain muscle.

The last tip I can give you is probably one of the most important pieces of advice anyone can give you and it’s only made up three words. That’s CARDIO, CARDIO, and CARDIO. I can’t stress this enough. Putting in a good amount of cardio work will help you in your quest to lose fat and gain muscle. Not only does cardio help you sweat all the excess fat in your body off, it will help your muscles show. A lot of people forget that you also have to cardio besides the weight training to make your muscles grow. Without cardio, all you’ll have are big solid muscles being covered by a layer/s of fat and that’s not a good thing. Why? Because it will still make you look fat and all your hard work to look good will be all for naught. Luckily, cardio workouts can vary from an hour of jogging during the weekdays to playing cardiovascular heavy sports like basketball or football during the weekends. It will definitely help you save on time for other important ordeals.

If ever you think that you’re too busy to work out, keep these tips in mind and I can guarantee you that you’ll get to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time.
